Thanks!

You may use any codec you have in the client. There is no restriction in sip2sip network related to what codecs you use.

Thanks, unfortunately in my client SILK and iLBC do not work. Client does not initiate call. I gather then that these two clients are not supported.

Thanks again

Our network is transparent for the end-points. The reason you cannot call is in the clients, not in the network.

I have tried various codecs with two clients. Counterpath Bria and CsipSimple.

In both clients, the only codecs to work are GSM, g722 and g711.

using g729 the call starts and hangs straight away.

All other codecs selected stop the call from being placed at all.

If this is the fault of the client, how come it is happening on two clients? Is there any way I can troubleshoot this?

You can check the logs of your sessions here http://wiki.sip2sip.info/projects/sip2sip/wiki/SipCommonProblems

Having the trace you can ask your device manufacturer what is going wrong.
