ATA cannot login. Problem connecting voice

Description
My Grandstream 286 cannot login to Sip2sip. I have 2 of them, tried them both neither can connect.
Previous to this calls from Google voice thru IPKall would not connect. Calling IPKall direct would connect. I have red numbers in my call log. Some failed calls do not show in the call log at all.

Are you using both of these connection settings?
Domain/Realm sip2sip.info
Outbound Proxy proxy.sipthor.net
Does the grandstream have any kind of log to indicate the connection failure?

Both Grandstream 286 ATA and Sipdroid on Android 2.2 will register if I change username to username@sip2sip.info. This change causes problems with IPKall. Please explain. Username is not supposed to work like this.
