AG Projects - Software Repositories

Debian and Ubuntu Linux packages

Install AG Projects software signing key:

wget http://download.ag-projects.com/agp-debian-gpg.key 
sudo apt-key add agp-debian-gpg.key

Add the following lines to /etc/apt/sources.list

Ubuntu Natty

deb    http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu natty main 
deb-src http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu natty main

Ubuntu Oneiric

deb    http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu oneiric main 
deb-src http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu oneiric main

Ubuntu Precise

deb    http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu precise main 
deb-src http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu precise main

Ubuntu Quantal

deb    http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu quantal main 
deb-src http://ag-projects.com/ubuntu quantal main

Debian Stable

deb    http://ag-projects.com/debian stable main 
deb-src http://ag-projects.com/debian stable main

Debian Unstable

deb    http://ag-projects.com/debian unstable main

To install or upgrade a software package:

sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get install package_name

Replace package_name with the name of the software package.

Tar Archives

Some packages are available as tar archives:

http://download.ag-projects.com/

Version Control Repositories

The source code is managed using darcs version control tool. The darcs repository can be fetched with:

darcs get http://devel.ag-projects.com/repositories/package_name

Replace package_name with the name of the software package.

To obtain the incremental changes after the initial get run:

darcs pull -a

Manual Installation

All python software packages can be installed system-wide using:

sudo python setup.py install

Debian Package Building

Some of the packages are ready to be packaged for Debian like distributions by using this procedure:

Create under each repository a clean distribution file:

python setup.py sdist

Go to the ./dist directory and untar the file created at the step above.

Go to the newly created directory and type:

debuild

The .deb and related files are built in the upper directory.
